Why I chose my major

I chose Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) as my major because I wanted to learn about people and HDFS does that from such a holistic perspective. I love that we get to explore development from all aspects: biological, psychological and sociological! It’s truly a blend of all my interests and I’ve loved being a part of such a multi-faceted discipline.

What I like most about FACS

What I like most about FACS is that it truly feels like a family. I feel so supported and have gotten to learn and grow so much as a student, but also a person and future professional. It feels so reassuring to know that there are so many people rooting for you to succeed!

Post-graduation plans

I am pursuing an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling at the Mary Frances Early College of Education with the hopes of becoming a licensed professional counselor!
