Job Description

As a Ph.D. candidate in Polymer Science at the University of Georgia, I specialize in developing sustainable materials and advanced functional coatings with applications in textiles, biomedical devices, and environmental protection. My research spans bio-based polymer composites, spider silk valorization, and nanomaterial-functionalized coatings, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation, circular economy principles, and real-world impact.

With a foundation in Microbiology (M.Sc.) and prior research experience at the National Institute of Technology, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving—merging life sciences, material engineering, and polymer chemistry. My work has included valorizing agricultural waste into nanomaterials, modifying natural polymers like chitosan and PHB for performance-enhanced coatings.

Beyond the lab, I actively collaborate with industry through funded research, serve on academic advisory boards, aimed at bridging resource gaps in academia and small-scale innovation hubs. I am also a strong advocate for international student representation and scientific outreach.

I thrive at the intersection of research, application, and impact—driven by curiosity, precision, and a global perspective on sustainability and innovation.
