Love and Money Week 2026

Overview

Financial therapy lives at the intersection of money and relationships, recognizing that how we think, feel, and behave around money shapes nearly every part of our lives.

To kick off Love & Money Week 2026, the UGA Love & Money Center is hosting a free virtual roundtable with four practitioners who have built careers in and around this field. They’ll talk about what financial therapy actually looks like in practice, how they work with individuals, couples, and families navigating money, and where the field is headed.

Whether you’re a student figuring out your professional path, a financial planner, therapist, or counselor curious about the field, or simply someone who wants to learn more about financial therapy, this event is open to all.

What You’ll Learn

  • How experts integrate the emotional and behavioral sides of money into care.
  • Real-world approaches to working with individuals, couples, and families.
  • Where the financial therapy field is headed — opportunities and challenges.
