Why I chose my major

Since graduating high school in 1999, I knew I wanted to become a registered dietitian. I had been gaining weight since I was eight years old, and that year, I decided to consult with a dietitian to help me lose weight and get in shape. I followed her diet to the letter, lost all the extra pounds I was carrying, and discovered what I wanted to study and learn for the rest of my life. My career goal is to help others who, like me, suffer the consequences of an inadequate diet and lifestyle. Nutrition has become my passion and calling. I want to become the best dietitian I can be and help as many people as possible avoid diet-related diseases and enjoy good health.

What I like most about FACS

I like how FACS focuses on improving the lives of individuals and families.

Post-graduation plans

I have been accepted for the Be Well Solutions Dietetic Internship starting this fall. This is just the beginning of my journey. After I complete the internship, I am determined to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians and continue my mission to promote healthy living.
