- Activities/Honors
I am a Student Industry Fellow, which has provided me with the opportunity to work with local and international clients on Human-Centered Design projects. Over the course of the year I have gotten to be a part of four projects, all of which vastly differ in the client and topic type. For example, last semester I worked on a project for a Sustainable Forestry company based out of Stockholm, Sweden that sells Biodiversity Credits, and was able to pitch in Stockholm with my group! Now I'm the project lead on a growth-strategy project with Ciné, our local non-profit cinema. This fellowship program has provided me with incredible client management experience, as well as taught me how to effectively work with peers to make meaningful change in my community and beyond.
- Why I chose my major
I chose Social Entrepreneurship because of the freedom I had to shape my education and choose classes that made the most sense for me. I knew I wanted to work on sustainability more than anything and wanted project experiences working for real clients, which is exactly what I've done. The Social Entrepreneurship major emphasizes doing what is best for your desired career path and interest area, which I really appreciate.
- What I like most about FACS
I love how all FACS faculty I have encountered are so invested in my education. Whether it's helping me research, achieve my goals, writing me a letter of recommendation, or anything else I need, I can always count on the people in FACS to pull through.
- Post-graduation plans
I will be moving to Berlin, Germany in September to go to ESCP Business School for a master's in Impact Entrepreneurship! I'm excited to travel, experience new cultures, meet new people, learn about entrepreneurship from an international perspective and be based in a country that values sustainability as much as I do. My goal is to move to Germany or another European country once I graduate from my grad program and launch my career abroad!
