- Why I chose my major
I chose Dietetics as it combines my interest in educating and serving people in need, with my passion for nutrition and wellness. The STEM foundational coursework challenges me to understand my role as a dietitian better, while feeling I’m working for an impactful career. I quickly saw how resourceful the faculty were to how I would approach graduate school & my supervised DI practice, so I felt easily guided and supported in my involvement. I felt confident that this field would provide me with a wide range of opportunities to teach others how to live sustainable and enjoyable lives, than simply how to eat well.
- What I like most about FACS
FACS is united under the goal and aspiration to help communities under diverse aspects. Whether it’s economical stabilities, familial relationships, clothing sustainability, or wellness, the college is dedicated to improving other’s lives through connective ways. While everyone’s major is different, our desire to help others meaningfully is what makes FACS feel so special. Our mission and values align with how we want to spend our careers, and I’m always grateful to see and understand that while talking to other students.
